I had been treated with acupuncture about 25 years ago in the Boston area. I live in Florida now, and in February of 2017, I was very stressed and my fibro myalgia was causing constant pain. I thought it was time for treatment again. After acupuncture treatment with Martha Pelletier at the East West Health Center, I can happily say I am so much better now. The stress is gone…which really helps the fibro. I do not wake up in the morning with teeth clenched, my attitude toward my health is much better. I have more energy. But the best part about Martha is that she really listens. She offers suggestions but never tells you what to do. She is thoughtful and intelligent. She is a very special lady. I know if I need her care again, she will be there for me.

... Read more »I have known Martha of the East/West Heath Center for five years. From the very beginning, she worked to get to know how best to naturally correct that out-of-sorts feeling I call being “all crooked.” She listens to you and literally pinpoints the problem areas. I leave with an overwhelming sense of wellness. You can, too.
If ever you find the issues of the world bogging you down, try an hour with the folks at East/West. Consider it a gift to yourself that you can then share with others…

I called Martha because I was not satisfied with the acupuncturist I was seeing. She fit me in right away and I was immediately impressed by her knowledge and her blending of new technology with traditional treatment. In addition, she advises me on handling stress and even got me a birthday card! Her treatment has kept my disc pain well under control and I always feel better when I leave her office both physically and emotionally. She is an exceptional person.

I was tired of the doctors prescribing pills and more pills with no options, so I decided to seek out acupuncture to see if I would receive any benefit at all.
I had been experiencing digestive issues.
After the very first treatment, I had a profound positive reaction. I no longer had pain, nausea and overall lethargy. The benefits of the acupuncture were amazing and I especially liked that no drugs were involved. Martha is patient, taking her time to really get to the bottom of “what ails you.”
I’ve been healthier overall; not just the specific reason I came in for.

“My Ship Finally Came In— But I Fell Off Of It!”
Someday that will be the name of my book; it is so true & part of my life. 4 ½ years ago, I was cooking on an ocean-going tug & barge for a crew of 7-15 men. One morning while climbing down the side of the barge, my footing slipped. I fell almost 30 feet and was impaled on the handrail of the tug, causing 7 or 8 ribs (front & back) to break, puncturing my left lung, rupturing my spleen & damaging my diaphragm. My head hit the deck of the tugboat causing damage to my cervical vertebrae, adding compression fractures & Tarlov cysts to my lower back and a spinal cord injury. The doctors didn’t think I would walk again. I had 7 surgeries, many hours of physical & occupational therapy, EMDR, a wheelchair, a walker, a

I suffered a second trimester miscarriage in my first pregnancy. After extensive testing, my doctor could offer me no explanations as to why it had happened or what I could do to prevent a reoccurrence. After 4 months of trying to conceive without any success, I turned to eastern medicine for fertility. I was hoping that acupuncture could help me to conceive a baby and carry it to term. I set up a consultation with Martha. I felt very comfortable with her because she has a nursing background and I wanted a therapist who had knowledge of both eastern and western methods of treatment. She outlined a program for me using acupuncture and herbs. After 3 months of treatment, I was pregnant. I continued with the acupuncture and herbs throughout the pregnancy ( my OB doctors were aware). Martha not only treated me, she was one of my strongest supporters
... Read more »When I called the East West Health Center, my husband and I had been trying to conceive for more than one year. At age 36 I was considered of “advanced maternal age” and had spent the previous six months visiting reproductive specialists and on Clomid. My husband and I had exhausted many of the treatments available to us and were beginning to consider assisted reproduction options. After the first conversation with Ms. Kokajko, I could tell that she was not only very knowledgeable but also very compassionate. She listened to all of my concerns and was thorough in compiling a detailed medical history as it related to my issues. This resulted in what I felt to be a comprehensive approach in my treatment – taking into consideration the whole picture and not just an isolated issue. I am … my husband and I had been trying to conceive for more

I told Martha about the problem and she treated me with acupuncture. That day for the first time in ages I felt normal, grounded and centered; that night I slept nine hours. I awoke totally refreshed and a well being.
Thank you Martha!
